In this chapter, applications of hydrogen bonding catalysts based on alcohols and phenols will be covered with emphasis on catalyst design and mechanistic investigations. The first part of this chapter describes the development of alcohol-based hydrogen-bonding catalysts. Chiral hydrogen bond donors such as TADDOL and BAMOL derivatives have been shown to be highly effective catalysts in a variety of enantioselective transformations including Diels–Alder, hetero-Diels–Alder, Mukaiyama aldol, and nitroso aldol reactions. A photoswitchable hydrogen-bonding catalyst system that was used in a Morita–Baylis–Hillman reaction was also described in this section. Efforts to enhance the activities of alcohol-based hydrogen bond donors resulted in the development of fluorinated alcohols as effective organocatalysts. The second part of this chapter describes the utilization of such fluorinated alcohol catalysts in ring-opening polymerization of lactides, carbon dioxide fixation of epoxides, and epoxidation of alkenes. Finally, hydrogen-bonding catalysts based on phenols are reviewed in the third section of this chapter. These include dual hydrogen bond donors such as PHANOL, diarylacetylene diol, and BINOL derivatives along with examples from enantioselective catalysis.Item Open Access Algorithms of the synthesis of optimal regulators(Ministry communications & high technologies republic azerbaijan, 2023-04-08) Özbay, HitayItem Open Access Allah Dieu, Gökler Cieux..(Ürün Yayınları, 2007) Halman, Talat SaitThe cultural and literary relations between Turkey and France evolved from the 17th century onwards through a complex process that involved different domains. Until the 1950’s intellectuals, authors and Turkish artists benefitted perfectly from the influences of French culture and literature. The appearance in the 19th century of dictionaries in verse such as Yusuf Halis (Miftah-ül Lisan) show, in a way, the importance of : ‘Allah Dieu, gökler cieux, yer ter, commencer iptida’… Nevertheless, this phenomenon should not be considered as a result of cultural imperialism but as a simple «import» that the Turkish intelligentsia willingly adopted. This «arbitrary hegemony» of the French culture that was acceptable in Turkey, spread mostly to Francophone countries, even though, through time, it was replaced in Turkey by the dominance of English and more particularly by that of American culture and literature. With a view towards studying the various aspects of the French influence on thinking, administration, law, aesthetics and Turkish literature, this article discusses the Jules Verne in our imagination, the Dumas Père and Dumas Fils in our passion for adventure, the Molière and Lafontaine in our humor, the place of French poetic movements in our poetry, the Pierre Loti in our romantic sensitivity, the other subtley appraised in the phenomenon of «turquerie», a poet like Charles Vernet who wanted to be a Divan poet and certain translations into Turkish, mostly from the Republican period, that surpass the originals, like the Cyrano of Siyavuşgil that eclipses the work of Rostand or even the Antigone Moderne of Orhan Veli that goes way beyond the work of Anouilh.Item Open Access Amateur video and Apollo 18(2012-06) Künüçen, H. The effectiveness and success of operations that are supported by information systems are directly correlated with the quantity, accuracy, timing, credibility and the quality of the information that prevails in the system. Rapid development of these technologies in recent decades allows high level of information transaction and communication through the whole world. The quantity of information that flows through information systems has increased tremendously. New researches and technological applications in this area aim to improve the systems quantitatively. However, despite a huge and continuous increase in information flow, the quality and reliability of the information in the systems are doubtful from many perspectives. We believe that quality and reliability considerations in information technologies are not handled by researchers and users adequately. So in this research we decided to discuss about quality and reliability aspects of the information flow. To be able to evaluate the information from qualitative perspectives, we believe that it is crucial to handle the problem in science and especially in social sciences by endogenising socio-economic phenomena and science methodology approaches. We hope this work will create a stimulus for researchers of Information Technologies and Systems to give importance to the reliability and quality of information issues.Item Open Access Anayasa Mahkemesi'nin yerel idarelere bakışı(Memleket yayınları, 2014) Tan, Turgut; Güneşer Demirci, A.; Ergüzeloğlu Kilim, E.; Dik, E.Item Open Access Ancient egypt and the shipwreck at uluburnu(Geological Survey of Egypt Special Publi, 1995) Haldane, CherylItem Open Access An Ankara chronicle: fidelity to an impossibility?(MIT Press, 1999) Helvacıoğlu, Banu; Davidson, C. L.; Karasozen, B.The Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) was formally created in 2001 following joint licensing projects by four libraries in 1999 and twelve in 2000. The consortium has grown to encompass eighty-nine libraries in 2005, and the number of its contracts has increased to twenty-five. Members include Turkish university libraries and research libraries attached to hospitals and government offices. A voluntary association, ANKOS is run by a Steering Committee composed of the directors of nine member libraries with the help of staff members from those libraries. The first agreements were for print+e-access for journals and for an aggregator database, and these were mostly informal subscription arrangements. An early activity was the development of a model Turkish National Site License. That license now forms the basis for negotiations with vendors, which culminate in formal license agreements. Beginning in 2004, ANKOS contracts are for electronic-only access and are often for multiple years.Item Open Access Anonim ortaklıklarda bağımsız denetimin kapsamı(Banka ve Ticaret Hukuku Enstitüsü-Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. Item Open Access Application of fast methods to large scale rough surface scattering and propagation problems(2006) Altıntaş, Ayhan; Ertürk, Vakur B.; Tunç, Celal; Topçu, Satılmış
