Ece Ayhan ve tarih yaklaşımı

This study has been carried out to investigate a sense of "the understanding of history" that has been said to exist in Ece Ayhan's poetry. Within this framework, first of all the concept of how history was handled has been identified and then the relation the poet built between the concept and the understanding of history has been analysed. While analysing this relationship and Ece Ayhan, his prose and his statements were taken into consideration. Based on these, İdris Küçükömer’s and Şerif Mardin's views on social issues, to which the poet attached special importance, have been mentioned. Then, the views of critics such as Edip Cansever, Oğuz Demiralp, Enis Batur, and Orhan Koçak, who identified Ece Ayhan's interest in history, have been analysed and evaluated within their own criteria. The findings that were gathered at this pre- study stage have been compared to Ayhan's poems. The theory has been applied to the poems compiled in the book Çok Eski Adıyladır. As a result of this study, Ece Ayhan's understanding of history with its own specifications has been put forward.
