Abstract

This thesis aims to assess the settlement data from the LBA-EIA transition from the Upper Euphrates and the Amuq. It uses settlement pattern analyses as ways to trace continuity and change, and incorporates architectural data to test their results. Three plains in particular are selected for this tasks; Altınova and Karababa Dam area of the Upper Euphrates and the Amuq at the confluence of North Syria and Southeast Anatolia. The results demonstrate, once again, that the nature of the LBAEIA transition in these parts of Turkey is still vague, yet partially promising
