dc.description.abstractThe intention of this study is to analyze the sociological structure of the comics within its relation to the social phenomena of the 20th century. Therefore, the concept of popular culture is taken as the key word th at opens up the sociological formation of the modern -and even the post modern- man of the late 20th century. The evolution in the formal and conceptual structure of the comics throughout the century is also indicated eventually in this study. The main focusing point is on the genre of "super heroes" which fully indicates this evolution of comics up to this day.en_US
