dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada Karadeniz Ereğli’de bulunan ‘Özden Şekerleme’ adında bir şekerleme dükkanı ele alınmıştır. Bu dükkanın geçmişi, nasıl kurulduğu ve şu anki hali incelenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra Ereğli’nin sanayileşme süreci ve oradaki hayat sosyoekonomik düzeyde incelenip anlatılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı insanlara Özden Şekerleme hakkında bilgi vermek ve bunun yanı sıra insanlara Ereğli’nin tarihi hakkında bilgi verip nasıl bir toplumsal yapıya sahip olduğunu göstermektir.
dc.description.abstractIn this research, a confectionery store named 'Özden Şekerleme' located in Karadeniz Ereğli was discussed. The history of this loss, how it happened and the name of its current state. In addition, the industrialization process of Ereğli and the socioeconomic level of life there are examined and explained. The purpose of this learning is to give people information about Özden Şekerleme and also to show what kind of social structure people have to produce information about the history of Ereğli.
