Abstract

In this chapter, we discuss how liquid interface self-assembly can contribute to the utilization of colloidal semiconductor nanoplatelets in optoelectronics. Self-assembled nanoplatelet mono- or multilayers can be used as two-dimensional optically active waveguides, gain media of ultra-thin lasers, or energy transfer-based photosensitizers.
