| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Yücel Erten, 1945 yılında doğmuştur ve 1969 yılında Ankara Devlet Konservatuarı Tiyatro bölümünü bitirip, yurtdışında reji eğitimi alarak Türk tiyatrosunda uzun süre reji eğitimi almış tek yönetmen olarak yer almıştır. Sadece yönetmen kimliği ile yetinmeyerek birçok tiyatro oyununda oyunda oyuncu, yabancı dil kaynaklı birçok eseri Türkçeye kazandıran ve birçok eseri de yabancı dile çeviren bir çevirmen kimliğine de sahip olmuştur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Yücel Erten, was born in 1945 and graduated from Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department in 1969. He received education about directing and remained the only person in Turkish theater who had received education about directing and stage management for a long time. Erten was not only a director but also was an actor in many plays and translated many works of art to Turkish at the same time translating Turkish works to other languages. | |
