Contrary to the popular belief that there are no serial killers in Turkey, more than 10 Turkish serial killers have been recorded since the 1960s. Besides the doubts on whether some of them fit the definition of a serial killer or not, Abdullah Aksoy, also known as the Çumra Monster, is considered in the serial killer category due to the murders he committed and the rituals he followed. Abdullah Aksoy, who was born in 1934, killed 15 people between 1962 and 1967, leaving a stamp on those years and a lot of talk. In this research, Abdullah Aksoy's past and the his murders were enlightened by making use of the books and newspapers written about Abdullah Aksoy, the documentaries shot, and the narratives of Sevinç Yavuz, who conducted detailed research about him. The reasons why he chose his victims, the path he followed in the murders he committed, and the clues he gave about himself by the way he buried the corpses were examined, and the reasons that made him a serial killer were emphasized. At the same time, Abdullah Aksoy, who is considered to be the Turkey's first homosexual serial killer, and his murders reveal too much about unknowns of Çumra, where he was born and raised.en_US
