dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractTürk kültürünün korunmasında çaba sarf eden Neriman Tutumlu, Ankara Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü‟nün resim öğretmenidir. Bu çalışmada Olgunlaşma Enstitüleri ile ilgili bilgi verilmiş; Neriman Tutumlu‟nun kim olduğuna, bu makale için önemine değinilmiştir. Tutumlu‟nun 1977-1985 yılları arasında görev almış olduğu Ankara Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü 100. Yıl Müzesi‟nin kuruluşuna olan katkısı ele alınmıştır. Bununla beraber Neriman Tutumlu‟nun hazırlanmasında emekleri olan Tarihi Türk Kadın Kıyafetleri adlı kitaptan bahsedilmiş ve kitabın oluşum süreci anlatılmıştır. Aynı zamanda gerek yurt içindeki gerekse yurt dışındaki Türk kültürünü koruma ve yayma çabasından da söz edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractNeriman Tutumlu was a former painting teacher at Ankara Maturation Institute, who strives to preserve Turkish culture. In this study, information about Maturation Institutions, facts about Neriman Tutumlu, her importance for this article, and her contribution for Ankara Maturation Institute 100th Year Museum where she served between 1977-1986, was provided. In addition, the book titled "Historical Turkish Women's Clothing" which was involved in the preparation of Neriman Tutumlu was mentioned and the formation process of the book was explained. Moreover, the efforts to protect and spread Turkish culture both at home and abroad are also mentioned.
