dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractTürkiye’de batılılaşma etkisiyle ortaya çıkan müzik türlerinden biri olan aranjman müziğinin oluşumu, gelişimi ve Türk kültürüne etkileri, Türk aranjman müziği tarihi incelenmiştir. Aranjman müziğin dönemsel değeri anlatılmış, Türk sanat camiasındaki yerinden, aranjman müziğin gazino kültürüyle beraber yaygınlaşmasından, aranjman müziğin oluşma sürecinde alıntı yapılan kültürler ve dillerden, aranjörler ve aranjörlerin yaptıkları, onların zamanla değişen iş tanımından bahsedilmiştir. Aranjman müziğini seslendiren sanatçılara değinilmiştir. Bu araştırma yazılırken elektronik makalelerden yararlanılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe emergence and development of arrangement music, one of the music genres that emerged with the effect of westernization in Turkey, its effects on Turkish culture, and the history of Turkish arrangement music were examined. The periodic value of arrangement music is explained, its place in the Turkish art community, the spread of arrangement music with the casino culture, the cultures and languages cited during the formation of arrangement music, the arrangers and their job descriptions that change over time are mentioned. The artists who performed the arrangement music were mentioned. While writing this research, electronic articles were used.en_US
