dc.description.abstractThe report discusses European Political Cooperation (EPC) and its contributions to the political unification of Europe. The historical background is given in order to find out whether there has been progress in legal and institutional terms. Ttie structure of EPC is examined with the aim of understanding both the internal organization of EPC and its link with the EC (European Communityj policies and institutions. The contributions of EPC to the process of political unification of Europe besides its limitations, are discussed, while the fundamental philosophy behind this process is clearly drawn in the concluding chapter.en_US
