The September 12 Military Coup has an important place in the history of the Republic of Turkey, an important event that has caused turmoil in the socio-economic life of the people. Its effects are also reflected in Turkish Literature. Literary writers have included the experiences of the Turkish people, who witnessed three military coups between 1960 and 1980, in their works. Latife Tekin gave place to the working-class experiences, individuals, and organizations before and after the September 12 Military Coup in her novels "Gece Dersleri" and "Berci Kristin Çöp Masalları". Although the connection between literature and history is instrumental in shedding light on historical events through literary works, it has also been observed that under strict regimes, writers could not objectively convey their ideologies and the reality of the events to the reader with all their reality.en_US
