dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractTürk tiyatrosu ve sineması çeşitli yetenekli insanlar sayesinde gelişmiştir. Sanat; sansür, darbe, parasızlık gibi zorluklara rağmen bu alanda varolmak isteyen kişiler tarafından fedakarlıkla ilerlemiştir. Bu kişilerden biri de Arif Erkin Güzelbeyoğlu’dur. Ortaokul yıllarından itibaren ara vermeksizin sahne sanatlarıyla uğraşan sanatçı özellikle oyunculuk ve film müziği alanlarında başarılıdır ve çeşitli ödüllere layık görülmüştür. Uzun yıllar gerek sahne önünde gerekse sahne arkasında müziklerle uğraşarak profesyonel olarak çalışmıştır. Onunla yapılan röportajlar, çeşitli gazete haberleri ve makaleler aracılığıyla ortaya çıkan bu proje onun Türk tiyatrosu, sineması ve müziği içindeki katkılarının bir özeti niteliğindedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractTurkish theater and cinema came this far thanks to some talented people. Art has kept improving despite difficulties such as censoring, military coups, and lack of money with the help of some devoted artists. One of these people is Arif Erkin Güzelbeyoğlu. The artist, who has been dealing with performing arts without a break since his secondary school years, is especially successful in acting and film music and has been awarded various awards. He has worked professionally for many years, dealing with music both in front of the stage and behind the scenes. This project, which emerged through interviews with him, various newspaper reports, and articles, is a summary of his contributions to Turkish theater, cinema, and music.en_US
