dc.description.abstractThis chapter is based on a series of discussions which were planned and carried out within the scope of the Integrated Three-Dimensional Television—Capture, Transmission, and Display project, which is a Network of Excellence (NoE) funded by the European Commission 6th Framework Information Society Technologies Programme. The project involves more than 180 researchers in 19 partner institutions from 7 countries throughout Europe and extends over the period from September 2004 to August 2008.
