Göbekli Tepe Ören Yeri’nin Türkiye kültür ve turizm politikaları çerçevesinde medya ve kamuoyunda temsili

Abstract

İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent Üniversitesi’ndeki HIST 200 dersi kapsamında yapılan bu çalışmada Güneydoğu Anadolu’daki önemli bir Neolitik arkeolojik alan olan Göbeklitepe Ören Yeri’nin kazı tarihi, buradaki yapıların özellikleri ve bu özelliklerden hareketle ortaya atılan teoriler üzerinde durulmuş, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti’nin kültür ve turizm politikaları çerçevesinde Göbeklitepe’nin kamuoyundaki algısı ve medyadaki temsili çeşitli yönleriyle araştırılmıştır. Medyadaki temsili ve UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’ne girmesiyle birlikte popülerliği artan Göbeklitepe hakkında ortaya atılan teorilerdeki düşünce farklılıkları bu çalışmada sosyo-ekonomik ve siyasi boyutlarıyla ele alınmıştır. In this research conducted for the HIST 200 course at the İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, Göbeklitepe, an important neolithic archaeological site located in the Southeastern Anatolia was investigated for its history of excavation, importance in the archaeological record, the theories based on the excavation findings. The culture and tourism policies of Turkey and the reflection of these policies on media tools and the general public were the main interest of the research. The differences amongst the theories that have been produced after the mass media representation and the site being accepted into UNESCO World Heritage List were discussed in socio-economic and political context.
