dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, klinik psikolog Nevin Eracar'ın otizm konusundaki kariyerini ve toplumsal farkındalığı artırma çabalarını ele almaktadır. Araştırmada, Nevin Eracar ile gerçekleştirilen sözlü tarih çalışması temel alınarak, otizmle mücadele stratejileri incelenmiştir. Makale, Eracar'ın otizm spektrum bozukluğuyla ilgili kariyerinin geniş yelpazesini kapsayarak, özellikle erken müdahaledeki modelini, otizmle ilgili yayımladığı kitapları ve gerçekleştirdiği araştırmaları detaylı bir şekilde ele almaktadır. Ayrıca, toplumsal farkındalık oluşturmak amacıyla düzenlediği etkinlikler ve yürüttüğü çalışmalar da makalenin odak noktalarından biridir. Bu makale, Eracar'ın otizm konusundaki önemli katkılarını vurgulayarak, otizm spektrum bozukluğuyla ilgili farkındalığın artırılmasının ve otistik bireylerin hayat kalitesinin iyileştirilmesinin akademik ve toplumsal önemine odaklanmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractThis study examines the career of clinical psychologist Nevin Eracar in the field of autism and her efforts to increase societal awareness. Utilizing an oral history study conducted with Nevin Eracar, the research delves into strategies employed in coping with autism. The article comprehensively covers Eracar's extensive career related to autism spectrum disorder, specifically focusing on her model for early intervention, publications on autism, and detailed examinations of her research. Furthermore, the paper highlights events and initiatives organized by Eracar to foster societal awareness. By emphasizing Nevin Eracar's significant contributions to autism, the article underscores the academic and societal importance of enhancing awareness regarding autism spectrum disorder and improving the quality of life for autistic individuals.
