A Study of the Azerbaijan accounting system: an application

Abstract

This thesis is a study of the Azerbaijan accounting systems focusing on a factory, Azerelectrosvet, and its accounts as a case study. First the accounting policies in different countries are described and then the balance sheet, income statement, profit distribution and cost accounting of Azerelectrosvet are analysed in detail. This study may be used by Turkish Investors interested in Azerbaijan and other Turkic Republic and to help the Azerbaijan authorities to adopt international accounting systems.
