| dc.description.abstract | This thesis analyzes the military intervention of 1980 in Turkey with a special emphasis given to economic factors. In doing so, the thesis will utilize a model of bureaucratic authoritarianism with some examples from different Latin American countries. Therefore the thesis will question the role of economic factors in the rise of Bureaucratic Authoritarian State. In addition, an analysis of the January 24, 1980 stabilisation measures will also be made within the framework of changing political economy of the country of post-1980 era. | en_US |
