dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstract1957 yılında Ankara’da dünyaya gelen Bedri Baykam Türkiye’deki çok yönlü sanatçılardan biridir. Ressamlığı ile öne çıkan Baykam, aynı zamanda aktörlük ve ekonomi alanlarında tahsil yapmış ve siyaset, spor gibi alanlarla da uğraşmıştır. Yurt dışı eğitimi ve hayatının bir bölümünü orada geçirmesi sonucu etkilendiği Modernizm ve Yeni Dışavurumculuk akımlarını Türk Sanatına taşıyan değerli isimlerden olmuştur. Buna ek olarak dünyaya Dünya Sanat Günü’nü kazandırmış ve Piramid Sanat’ı kurmuştur. Bedri Baykam’ın yerli sanatımıza ve dünyaya kazandırdıkları yanı sıra hayat serüveni üzerine araştırma yapılmaya değer görülmüştür.en_US
dc.description.abstractBedri Baykam who was born in 1957 in Ankara, is one of the versatile artists in Turkey. Standing out with his painting, Baykam also studied in the domains of acting and economics, and also engage in other domains such as politics and sports. After he received education abroad and spending a part of his life there, he became one of the valuable names who carried the Modernism and New Expressionism movements to Turkish Art. In addition, he brought "World Art Day" to the world and established Piramid Art. In addition to what Bedri Baykam has gained to the world, it has been deemed worthy of research on his life adventure.en_US
