This research is an oral history study examining the 1950-1951 migration between Bulgaria and Türkiye based on the experiences of the Bağlık family. After the political transformation in Bulgaria, it was decided that Turks unwilling to live in Bulgaria would be allowed to migrate to Türkiye, initiating the migration process. This research reveals the complex socio-political, economic and cultural dynamics behind migration through the narratives of immigrants.
