Karachay-Malkar Turks are a Caucasian people who lived in the foothills of Elbruz Mountain and left their homeland with their own will and entered under the protection of the Ottoman State. The signing of the 1774 Küçükkaynarca Treaty caused the diplomatic problems of this society with the Russians to increase gradually and prepared the ground for the immigration that started in 1885. Although Karachay-Malkar Turks faced various social and economic problems after migration, today we come across as a community that tries to protect their traditions and languages through associations. Within the scope of this project, the Karachay-Malkar Turks who migrated from the Caucasus to Anatolia; the factors that caused their immigration, their post-migration life styles, religious beliefs, family structures, traditions, mother tongue and the habits that they preserved or adapted to Anatolia after the migration were examined.en_US
