dc.description.abstract | In this work, a question related to the concept of "folk" which was suggested by Alan Dundes in his work "Who is Folk?" has been discussed. In order to ask this question, we took itiraf.com writers as example of Dundes' "folk". When we analyzed the process of generating new codes, we saw that the site-owner had a pioneer role which is similar to Tyler Durden's in the novel Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. A kind of hierarchical system caused by the pioneer role of the site-owner Ersan Özer was seem to be a difficulty to call itiraf.com writers "folk" according to Alan Dundes. The argument of the paper has been set up because of this situation. | en_US |
