dc.description.abstract | Today, within the information and telecommunication technologies, internet technologies occupies the dominant role. Hypertext is the system that underlies many of the main digital multimedia with its capacity to hold different media like text, image and sound together by linkage. Upon this linkage capability of hypertext, some theorists call for the turning of an age towards a new digital democracy, by employing ideas of contemporary critical theorists and philosophers. This thesis examines the points of oonvergence in their claims, criticizes the way that they employ philosophy. Consequently it is shown that how these claims of convergence between critical theory and hypertext, turn out to be the convergence between liberal democratic ideals and digital democracy. | en_US |
