dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractTürkler ve Korelilerin, milattan sonra 500’lü yıllara kadar ulaşan ilişkilerinin Türkiye açısından akademik açıdan tezahürü ilk defa, 1989 yılında, Ankara üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih Coğrafya Fakültesi bünyesinde kurulan Kore Dili ve Edebiyatı Anabilim Dalı’nın kurulması ile gerçekleşmiştir. Bölümün kontenjanı kurulduğu yıl 10 kişiyken 2018yılında 40 kişiye kadar ulaşmıştır. Zaman içerisinde Güney Kore’nin ekonomik gelişimi ve Kore kültürünün dünyaya yayılmasıyla bölüme talep de giderek artmıştır. Tüm bu gelişmeler, kültürel ve ekonomik ilişkiler neticesinde de Kore Dili ve Edebiyatı, hem akademik açıdan hem de öğrencilere sağladığı imkânlar açısından açılışından bu yana çok daha gelişmiş bir durumdadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe appearing of the relations between Turks and Korean, which dates back to 500 A.D, from academic perspective was realized with the establishment of Department of Korean Language and Literature at Faculty of Languages History and Geography in Ankara University in 1989. The quota of Department of Korean Language and Literature, which was 10 people when it was established, is now 40 people. Since spreading of Korean culture due to economic development of the South Korea in the last decade, demand for this department has been increasing. Moreover, because of all of those technological developments and cultural and economic relations, now, Department of Korean Language and Literature is in a better situation compared to its foundation year.en_US
