dc.description.abstractCinema, which is one of the most popular branch of arts nowadays, has a firm relation with literature. Literary works have connections with oral works. In "Cinema tales" it is quite interesting to find out some motives and patterns, which are found in all folk tales. Movie director Tunc Okan's Otobus (The Bus) has a screenplay which is based on a journey, and this journey theme is essential in all folk tales. This essay is focusing on the reasons of the usage of journey in movies in connection with folk tales.en_US
