dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractODTÜ’nün en fazla rağbet gören fakültelerinden biri olan İktisadi İdari Bilimler Fakültesi’nin eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerine başlaması 1957 yılında gerçekleşmiştir. Öğrenci kapasitesi oldukça yüksek olmasına rağmen taban puanları ,ülkenin diğer devlet üniversitesi işletme bölümlerine nazaran, oldukça yüksek bir ÖSYM sınavı başarısı gerektirmektedir. Türkiye derecesi sahibi öğrencileri sayesinde ODTÜ işletme bölümü alanında başarılara sahip olmayı sürdürmektedir. ODTÜ İşletme Bölümü’nü diğer denklerinden ayıran en önemli özellik, işletmeyi akademik bir disiplin olarak Türkiye akademisine kazandırmış olmasıdır. Türkiye’de faaliyete giren ilk İşletme Bölümüne sahip olan ODTÜ İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi, alanda öncülük eden bir bölüm olarak Türkiye’de akademik anlamda işletme disiplininin temellerini atmıştır. Türkiye’deki ilk Teknokent’in ODTÜ’de bulunması sebebiyle işletme bilimini kuramsal olarak öğrenmekte olan öğrencilerine uygulama konusunda da imkan sağlayan ODTÜ İşletme Bölümü, toplumun işletme bölümüne karşı olan tutum ve bakış açısını olumlu yönde değiştirip etkilemiş bulunmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn 1957, the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, one of the most popular faculties of METU, started its educational activities. Although the student capacity is quite high, base scores require a considerably higher OSYM exam success compared to other state university business departments in the country. Thanks to students with degrees in Turkey continues to have success in the business section of METU field. The most distinguishing feature of the Middle East Technical University Department of Business Administration equivalent to other businesses as an academic discipline is that it has given to Turkey academy. with the first Department became operational in Turkey METU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, who led the field in Turkey as part of the company it has laid the foundations in terms of academic disciplines. The first Technopolis METU allowing also in practice for students who are learning the science of business due to its theoretical METU Department of Business Administration in Turkey, the society's point of business attitudes towards the section and perspective has influenced change in a positive direction.en_US
