dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |

dc.description.abstract | Dünyada sanayi devrimini takip eden gelişmeler sonucu tarım sektöründe ihtiyaç duyulan iş gücünün azalmasıyla başlayıp günümüze kadar devam eden şehirleşme hareketleri Türkiye'de 1950 yılından itibaren yoğun bir biçimde görülmeye başlamıştır ve kentleşme hareketlerinden en çok etkilenen şehirlerden biri de başkent Ankara olmuştur. Temeli 1973 yılında S.S. Ankara İşçi Sendikaları Konfederasyonu Mensupları Kooperatifi tarafından atılan 100. Yıl Mahallesi İşçi Konutları, Ankara'daki kentleşme olgusuna dair nitelikli bir örnek teşkil etmektedir. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | As a result of the developments that follow the industrial revolution in the world, the urbanization movements that start with the decrease in the workforce need in the agriculture, has continued until today and began to be seen in Turkey since 1950, and one of the cities most affected by the urbanization movements was the capital Ankara. The aim of this research will be the building process and changes form past to present of "100. Yıl İşçi Blokları Mahallesi" which was built by S.S.
