Item Open Access Adaptive robust sampled-data control of a class of systems under structured perturbations(IEEE, 1993) Yu, R.; Ocali, O; Sezer, E. S.Robust adaptive sampled-data control of a class of linear systems under structured perturbations is considered. The controller is a time-varying state-feedback law having a fixed structure, containing an adjustable parameter, and operating on sampled values. The sampling period and the controller parameter are adjusted with simple adaption rules. The resulting closed-loop system is shown to be stable for a class of unknown perturbations. The same result is also shown to be applicable to decentralized control of interconnected systems.Item Open Access Biquadratic transconductance switched-capacitor filters(IEEE, 1993-04) Tan, M. A.Switched-capacitor (SC) filters yield efficient implementations in integrated form. However, they employ op-amps, each of which must be designed for a given filter separately. Furthermore, SC filters are not tunable. This work presents a new type of sampled data filters consisting of transconductance elements, switches and capacitors, called transconductor switched capacitor (TSC) filters. Transconductance elements do not degrade their performance within a wide frequency range and tunable ones are available.Item Open Access Interframe differential vector coding of line spectrum frequencies(IEEE, 1993-04) Erzin, Engin; Çetin, A. EnisLine Spectrum Frequencies (LSF's) uniquely represent the Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) filter of a speech frame. In many vocoders LSF's are used to encode the LPC parameters. In this paper, an interframe differential coding scheme is presented for the LSF's. The LSF's of the current speech frame are predicted by using both the LSF's of the previous frame and some of the LSF's of the current frame. Then, the difference vector resulting from prediction is vector quantized.
