    Bağlam ağaçları ile ardışık doğrusal olmayan bağlanım

    Bu bildiride, ardışık doğrusal olmayan bağlanım problemi incelenmiş ve bağlam ağaçları kullanarak etkili bir öğrenme algoritması sunulmuştur. Bu amaçla, bağlanım alanı parçalara ayrılmış ve oluşan bölgeler bağlam ağacı ile simgelenmiştir. Her bölgede bağımsız bağlanım algoritmaları kullanılarak bağlam ağacı tarafından gösterilebilen tüm doğrusal olmayan modellerin kestirimleri, hesaplama karmaşıklığı bağlam ağacının düğüm sayısıyla doğrusal olan bu algoritma ile uyarlanır olarak birleştirilmiştir. Önerilen algoritmanın performans limitleri, veriler üzerinde istatistiksel varsayımlarda bulunmaksızın incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, teorik sonuçları izah etmek için sayısal bir örnek sunulmuştur.

    A novel equivalent circuit model for CMUTs

    A nonlinear equivalent circuit for immersed transmitting capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) is presented. The velocity profile across the CMUT surface maintains the same form over a wide frequency range. This property and the profile are used to model both the electromechanical conversion and the mechanical section. The model parameters are calculated considering the root mean square of the velocity distribution on the membrane surface as the through variable. The new model is compared with the FEM simulation results. The new model predicts the CMUT performance very accurately. ©2009 IEEE.

    Turkish straits and an important oil price benchmark: Urals

    The Turkish Straits is one of the busiest waterways in the World. Around 4% of the world’s crude oil trade passes through the Turkish Straits. We model the CIF Mediterranean price of Urals crude, one of the world’s most critical medium gravity crude brands that passes through the Turkish Straits. The empirical evidence provided here suggests that congestion (measured in terms of the waiting time for entering the Turkish Straits) increases the CIF Mediterranean price of Urals crude up to 5.05% and 3.09% for the İstanbul and Çanakkale straits, respectively. However, similar supporting evidence could be found for neither an important benchmark oil (Brent) nor Iranian Light, which has similar characteristics and can be considered a close substitute for Urals crude in the Mediterranean refinery market. This shows that the Turkish Straits have an important impact on the price of this important medium crude oil in world oil markets.
