Item Open Access Efficient evaluation of spatial-domain MoM matrix entries in the analysis of planar stratified geometries(IEEE, 2000) Kinayman, N.; Aksun, M. IAn efficient hybrid method for evaluation of spatial-domain method-of-moments (MoM) matrix entries is presented in this paper. It has already been demonstrated that the introduction of the closed-form Green's functions into the MoM formulation results in a significant computational improvement in filling up MoM matrices and, consequently, in the analysis of planar geometries. To achieve further improvement in the computational efficiency of the MoM matrix entries, a hybrid method is proposed in this paper and, through some examples, it is demonstrated that it provides significant acceleration in filling up MoM matrices while preserving the accuracy of the results.Item Open Access Low-frequency time-domain characterization for fast and reliable evaluation of microwave transistor performance(IEEE, 2016) Bosi G.; Raffo A.; Vadalà V.; Trevisan F.; Vannini G.; Cengiz, Ömer; Şen, Özlem; Özbay, EkmelIn this paper, we introduce the use of the low-frequency characterization of electron devices as an accurate and economical way to fast gather consistent data about the electron device performance at microwaves in the evaluation phase of new components, technologies and processes. © 2016 European Microwave Association.Item Open Access Multipath fading effect on terrestrial microwave LOS radio links(IEEE, 2015-07) Göktaş Polat; Topçu, Satılmış; Karasan, Ezhan; Altıntaş, AyhanIn this paper, the calculation of both the total received power with the effect of the ground reflection and the fade margin to find out the link availability for terrestrial microwave LOS (line-of-sight) radio links is proposed. The expressions are derived from clear-air, rainfall propagation mechanisms and multipath fading due to multipath arising from surface reflection along the defined microwave LOS radio link. We verify the mathematical model by using the ATDI ICS telecom software over sample microwave LOS radio links located in Turkey. © 2015 IEEE.
