Item Restricted Prof. Dr. Mehmet Said Hatiboğlu'nun hayatı(Bilkent University, 2018) Kırbaşoğlu, Zeynep Berra; Akşirin, Reyna; Güleç, Öykü; Kurt, Bahar; Eren, Ulaş AnılIn this research made for the HIST 200 course run by the Bilkent University, the life of Prof. Dr. Mehmed Said Hatiboğlu who has achieved significant accomplishments and contributed greatly to the field of Hadith is studied. Mehmet Said Hatiboğlu was born in 1993 in Burdur with his twin brother Ahmet. As he was advancing on his way to become an engineer, his life changed with the death of his father and he decided to pursue Theology with the legacy of his father. After he graduated from the Faculty of Theology of Ankara University, he got promoted to hadith assistant. He became an associate professor in 1967 and a doctor in 1978 and he continued working in Ankara University. His works in hadith contributed immensly to the field. Beside from his main academic work, he also showed interest to many fields such as music and islamic calligraphy.
