dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractUçak kazaları Türk sivil havacılık sektörünün gelişiminde kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. Türk sivil havacılık tarihinde gerçekleşmiş olan önemli kazaların incelenmesi sektörün gelişiminin analizinde kayda değer bir katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu makalede bu kazalar bağlamında kazalardan sonra alınan önlemler, kazaların çeşitli alanlarda bıraktığı etkiler, kazaların raporlama süreçleri ve kaza bulguları ele alınmaktadır. Bu etkenler çerçevesinde Türk havacılık tarihinde yaşanmış önemli kazaların sonuçları ve Türk sivil havacılık sektöründeki gelişmeler beraber olarak incelenmiş ve kazaların sektörün gelişimindeki rolleri araştırılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractAircraft accidents can undoubtedly be shown as one of the most significant factors of the development of Turkish civil aviation over the years. Analysis of the most substantial aircraft crashes in Turkish civil aviation history have a considerable place in the research process of the development of this sector. In line with the findings of these accidents, the precautions taken in the sector and the effects of these measures on the sector will be analyzed. As a result of these analyzes, the role of aircraft accidents in Turkish aviation will be clearly seen.en_US
