dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu yazıda, Yunan askerleri ve Yunan-Ermeni çetelerinin Yalova'da düzenledikleri sistematik katliam ve günümüz Türkiye’sine etkileri hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Bu bilgiler esas olarak soruşturma komisyonları tarafından yazılan raporlar ve Osmanlı arşivlerindeki belgelerle desteklenmektedir. Üstelik bu katliamlardan kaynaklanan mülteci krizi, bu makalede sayısal veriler ve fotoğraflarla ele alınmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this article, information about the systematic massacre by Greek troops and Greek-Armenian gangs in Yalova and effects on today’s Turkey is given. This information is mainly supported by reports written by investigatory commissions and documents in Ottoman archives. Moreover, the refugee crisis stemming from these massacres is covered with numeric data and photographs in this article.en_US
