| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |

| dc.description.abstract | Yat imalatı ve turizmi Türkiye için günümüzde dahi yeni kabul edilebilecek fakat gelişime açık ve gün geçtikçe değer kazanan sektörlerdir. Bu sektörlerin canlanmasında özellikle 1976 yılında Bodrum’da açılan ilk yat limanı ve sonrasında yaşanan gelişmeler etkili olmuştur. Sonraki süreçte de bu sektörde başarılı olabilmek için önemli bir pay sahibi olan marinaların sahip olması gereken kriterler önemli bir konu haline gelmiş ve bu bağlamda Türkiye’deki marinaların iyileştirilmesi gereken yönleri belirlenirken müşterilerin beklentileri ve sahip oldukları profil de değer arz etmeye başlamıştır. Yat imalatı ve turizmiyle ilgili alanında uzman isimlerden edinilen ve çeşitli yazılı kaynaklardan derlenen bilgilerin bir bütünlük halinde sunulması geçmişten günümüze bu süreçlerin değişim ve dönüşüm sürecinin daha iyi idrak edilmesini sağlayacaktır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Yacht building and tourism can be considered as new things for Turkey. However, these are sectors that are open to development and they gain value day by day. The beginning for these industries are the marina that opened in Bodrum in 1976 and the developments after it. Afterwards, the quality of the marinas became an important topic. So ways to improve them were researched. Throughout, this time the profile and expectations of customers increased. Information from experts in the field and various written sources are compiled in a tidy manner. This information will be helpful for understanding the change and evolution of everything about yachts in Turkey after 1976. | en_US |
