dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractMakalede, birçok mahalleye kıyasla küçük olmasına rağmen sayısız kişiye ev sahipliği yapan Ankara 100. Yıl İşçi Blokları Mahallesi’nin 1973 yılında nasıl inşa edildiği, hangi amaçla ve hangi etkilerle yapıldığı, demografik yapısı ve mahallenin yönetimi araştırıldı. Ortak kooperatif yönetiminin gündeme getirdiği konulardan ve bu konutlarda yaşayanlar arasındaki ilişkilerden bahsedildi. Gazetelerde ve internette çıkan haberlerle ve Yüzüncü Yıl İşçi Blokları Mahallesi’nin eski sakinleriyle yapılan röportajlarla anlatılanlar desteklenmiştir. Tüm bu bilgilerin sonucunda Ankara’da önemli bir değer olan 100.Yıl İşçi Blokları Mahallesi örneğinden yararlanılarak dayanışma kültürü ve tarihi doku konusunda farkındalık yaratılması ve ilçenin sınırlı bilgisinin gelecek nesillere aktarılması umulmaktadır.en_US
