1976 yılında kurulan ve günümüze kadar geçen süreçte Türkiye’nin ve Dünya’nın önemli fırın makinaları üreticilerinden biri haline gelmeyi başarmış FİMAK’ın kuruluş yılları, gelişme sürecinde Türkiye ve Dünyanın genel hali ve kurucusunun firma özelinde karşılaştığı zorluklar, aynı zamanda firmanın gelecekte fırın makinaları sektörünün eğilimleri doğrultusunda alacağı pozisyon detaylandırıldı. İlk kısımda FİMAK’ın kurucusu merhum Vedat Özpınar’ın ilk hayatı hakkında eşi Muazzez Özpınar ve kızı Dilek Doğancı’dan alınan bilgiler ve diğer kaynaklar göz önünde bulundurularak ilk bölümde kurucunun kişisel geçmişi ve firmanın tarihine ilişkin bilgiler verildi. İkinci bölümde firmanın kurulduğu 70’li yıllarda Amerika’nın Türkiye’ye uyguladığı ambargo neticesinde yaşanan ekonomik sıkıntılar detaylandırıldı, aynı zamanda firmanın 80 darbesinin Türkiye’deki ekonomik sonuçları ile nasıl başa çıktığı araştırıldı. Üçüncü bölümde, 1991 yılında 80m2 olan FİMAK tesislerinin 4000m2’lik bir alana büyümesi ile birlikte 1995 yılında yurtdışına da açılarak yarının dünyasının hızla değişen teknolojik ve ekonomik düzleminde nasıl ayakta kalacağı tartışıldı ve bu konudaki yol haritaları konusunda firmanın Dış Pazarlama Müdürü Ahmet Müjde ile kişisel iletişim kuruldu.

FİMAK, established in 1976, is one of the leading firms in the manufacturing and baking equipment sector. It has gained prestige both on a domestic and global level.In this research, our goal was to examine the creation and development of FİMAK. The elements consist of the personal life of the founder Vedat Özpınar, the foreseeable future of the industry, and the future position of the firm in the foreseeable future in the marketplace. In the first part, information about the early life of the founder of the firm, Vedat Ozpinar, was gathered from interviews and personal correspondences with his wife Muazzez Özpınar and their daughter Dilek Doğancı. The second part details the economic strategy employed when faced with economic consequences such as the US embargo in the 1970s’ and its aftereffects on the Turkish economy, also the 1980 Coup d'état on the Turkish government. Personal correspondences with the Head of FİMAK Foreign Markets: Ahmet Müjde, helped us gather this information. The third part debriefs the expansion of the factory. The factory grew from an 80m2 atelier to a 4000 m2 in 1991. Furthermore, in 1995 FİMAK expanded the scope of business operations by entering into foreign markets. In addition, this research paper also reviews FİMAK's business strategy to stay relevant in the ever-changing economic landscape.
