      Abstract
In this study, Orhan Pamuk's "The Black Book" was analyzed in relation to intertextuality theories by using Hilmi Yavuz and Kubilay Aktulum's works. Relation between the "cut-head motif," which is one of the main themes of our folk literature and "The Black Book" was examined.
