Göç kavramı, kendini Türk kültürüne farklı şekillerde ve boyutlarda gösteren, uzun bir geçmişe sahip olan bir olgudur. Ancak 1950’lerde başlayıp 1980’lere kadar devam eden köylerden kentlere olan göçler, genelde mevsimsel ya da dönemsel olarak gerçekleşen göçlerden farklıdır. Bu göçler, kalıcı olmanın yanı sıra, gerçekleştikleri boyut nedeniyle kentlerdeki ve kırsaldaki sosyoekonomik işleyiş üzerinde büyük değişimlere yol açmıştır. Bir topluluktaki gelişim ve değişimlerden doğrudan etkilenen ve bunları yansıtan her sanat dalında olduğu gibi Türk sinemacılığı da bu değişimden etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, bu yıllar arasında gerçekleşen göçlerin Türk sineması üzerinde bıraktığı etkiyi incelemek ve göçlerin sinemaya yansımasının tarihsel tutarlılığını açığa çıkarmaktır.

The concept of migration, has manifested itself within Turkish culture with varying forms and degrees and is a phenomenon with a deep history. However, the migrations that took place from 1950’s to 1980’s differ from the prior, typically seasonal or periodical immigrations. These migrations, besides being permanent, due to the volume at which they occurred have affected social and economic mechanisms of both city and rural areas. As with all fields of art that are influenced by the changes within the community, Turkish cinematography was affected by these changes inside the society. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of these migrations that took place between these years on Turkish cinema and to reveal to historical accuracy of the reflections of these changes on the cinema.
