Dengbêjlik has been an inseparable oral tradition of Kurdish culture. Within the scope of this tradition, the Kurdish people have transmitted the social events and individual feelings they have experienced from generation to generation in a poetic way, with or without the use of instruments. This tradition has sunk into oblivion in recent years within the scope of many developments. In this research, academician Prof. Dr. Metin Yüksel and Dengbêj Fesih Koç were interviewed in order to understand the dengbêj culture, and at the same time, many sources were compiled and the roots of the Dengbêj culture, its spread and education processes, its differences with the minstrel culture of the Turks, the role of women in the tradition and its importance today were examined. This research aims to comprehend better the culture of Dengbêjlik, which is important for the Kurdish people.
