Erken Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk siyasetinin mihenk taşı: Ankara Palas

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 1928’den bugüne Ankara’nın en önemli tarihi yapılarından biri olan Ankara Palas’ın siyasi ve sosyal hayata etkileri araştırılmıştır. Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nin politik ve toplumsal dokusundaki yeri sayesinde modernleşmeye sağladığı katkı yadsınamaz olup bu çalışmanın ana konusu olmuştur. Bu araştırmada Ankara Palas’ın kentin başkentleşme sürecindeki değişimlerine nasıl tanıklık ettiği ve bu değişimlerde nasıl bir rol oynadığı analiz edilmiştir. Yaşadığı yükseliş ve düşüş dönemleri de ele alınarak Türkiye’nin geçtiği siyasi ve sosyal değişimler ortaya konmuştur. Türkiye’nin modernleşme serüveninin ebedi bir hatırası ve sarsılmaz bir anıtı olan Palas, Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarından bugüne yaşanan dönüşümlerin aynası olmuş, bu çalışmada ise mevzubahis aynanın yansımaları aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır. In this study, the political and social impacts of Ankara Palas, one of the most significant historical structures in Ankara from 1928 to the present day, have been investigated. Thanks to its place in the political and social fabric of the Early Republican Period, its undeniable contribution to modernization has become the main focus of this study. The research analyzes how Ankara Palas has witnessed the changes in the process of the capitalization of Ankara and its role. The periods of rise and fall it experienced taken into account, Ankara Palas shed light on the political and social changes Turkey has undergone. Ankara Palas, an eternal memory and an unshakable monument of Turkey's modernization journey, has mirrored the transformations from the early years of the Republic to the present. In this study, the reflections of this metaphorical mirror have been explored and conveyed.
