dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractThis article is about pottery in the Avanos region. It explores what pottery is, how it came about and its different forms, and highlights the importance of pottery in the Avanos region. Aydın Afacan and Pembe İnan shared their knowledge and expertise on ceramics in this context. The article also discusses pottery and socio-cultural and socio-economic aspects in the Avanos region. The culmination of the research led to the development of an essay that deals in depth with all aspects of ceramics.
dc.description.abstractBu makale Avanos bölgesindeki çömlekçiliği incelemektedir. Çömlekçiliğin ne olduğunu, nasıl ortaya çıktığını ve aldığı çeşitli biçimleri araştırıyor ve Avanos bölgesinde çömlekçiliğin önemini vurguluyor. Aydın Afacan ve Pembe İnan bu bağlamda çömlekçilik konusundaki bilgi ve uzmanlıklarını paylaşmışlardır. Makale ayrıca Avanos bölgesinde çömlekçiliğin sosyo-kültürel ve sosyo-ekonomik yönlerine de değinmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda, çömlekçiliğin her yönünü kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alan bir makale ortaya çıkmıştır.
