Çağdaş Türk müziği sahnesinde Nevit Kodallı: hayatına ve kariyerine bir bakış

Abstract

Nevit Kodallı, Türk Çağdaş müziğine pek çok yönden katkıda bulunmuş Devlet Sanatçısı unvanına sahip bir Cumhuriyet Dönemi bestecisidir. 1925 yılında doğup 2009’da hayatını kaybeden sanatçı yaşamı boyunca Atatürk’ün başlattığı müzik devrimini devam ettirmek için emek gösteren isimlerden biri olmuştur. Nevit Kodallı, Çağdaş Türk müziğine sadece eserleri ile değil, yetiştirdiği öğrencileri ile de katkıda bulunması dolayısıyla araştırmaya değer bir isim olarak görülmüştür. Araştırma kapsamında Nevit Kodallı’nın bir eğitimci ve sanatçı olarak çok yönlülüğü ele alınacak, sanatçının Çağdaş Türk müziği repertuvarına kazandırdığı eserler ve Türk müziği üzerine görüşleri dönemin siyasi ve sosyal koşulları ışığında incelenecektir.

Nevit Kodallı is a Republican Era composer who is granted with the title “National Artist” and has contributed to Turkish Contemporary music in various aspects. Nevit Kodallı was born in 1925 and had died in 2009, and he was one of the names who have shown great efforts to continue the music revolution started by Atatürk throughout his life. Nevit Kodallı has been chosen as a topic worth researching due to his contributes to the Contemporary Turkish music not only with his musical compositions, but also with the students he has trained. Nevit Kodallı's versatility as an educator and an artist will be explained, and the works that the artist brought to the repertoire of contemporary Turkish music along with his views on Turkish music will be examined in the light of the political and social conditions of the period within the scope of this research.
