Adalet Ağaoğlu’s literature development and her impact on Turkish publications from 1950 to 1999

Abstract

Starting from the 1960s onwards, a series of societal changes took place in Turkey. The effects of these changes have also carried on to Turkish literature. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of modernism on Adalet Ağaoğlu’s literary works, along with her innovative narrative techniques. Ağaoğlu combined various literary devices to communicate the individual struggles of her time period, giving rise to a more complex, multi-layered dimension of narration. By first detecting her modernist techniques. This paper aims to showcase Ağaoğlu’s subsequent descent into postmodern literature. Adalet Ağaoğlu was an author who went beyond the bounds of the traditional novel, as well as the modernist novel, in a continuous search for her own unique narrative style.

1960 lardan itibaren Türkiye'de bir kısım toplumsal değişimler yaşandı. Bu değişimlerin etkileri Türk edebiyatına da yansımıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, modernizmin Adalet Ağaoğlu'nun edebi eserleri üzerindeki etkisini, yenilikçi anlatım teknikleriyle birlikte analiz etmektir. Ağaoğlu, döneminin bireysel mücadelelerini iletmek için çeşitli edebi araçları bir araya getirerek daha karmaşık, çok katmanlı bir anlatım boyutuna yol açtı. Bu makale, önce Adalet Ağaoğlu'nun modernist tekniklerini tespit ederek, daha sonra postmodern edebiyata inişini sergilemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Adalet Ağaoğlu, kendine özgü anlatım tarzını sürekli arayış içinde, modernist romanın yanı sıra geleneksel romanın sınırlarının ötesine geçen bir yazardı.
