Türk Psikiyatri Derneğinin tarihçesi ve psikiyatri alanına katkıları

Abstract

Bu makalede Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneğinin tarihçesi incelenmektedir. Bu kapsamda derneğin kuruluş amacı ve süreci, toplumsal ve akademik alanlarda faaliyetleri, aynı zamanda derneğin misyonu ve vizyonu araştırılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın gerçekleştirilebilmesi adına Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneğinde 1996-2005 yılları arasında Merkez Denetim Kurulu Başkanı olarak görev almış olan Prof. Dr. Erol Göka ile ve TPD üyeliği yapmış olan psikiyatrist Semih Dikkatli ile röportaj yapılarak Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneğinin tarihçesinin incelenmesi ve Türkiye’de sosyal ve bilimsel bağlamda yaptıkları faaliyetlerin araştırılması hedeflenmektedir.

In this paper, the history of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey is examined. In this context, the purpose and the process of the founding of the association, alongside its mission and vision, have been investigated. Moreover, the association’s social and academic services are also included in the investigation of this matter. For this research, Erol Goka, who was the Chairman of the Central Supervisory Board of PAT between 1996, and Semih Dikkatli, a member of PAT, were interviewed. In this research history of PAT and its social and academic services in Turkiye are examined.
