dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu projede Ankara’da 1971 yılından itibaren hizmet vermekte olan Şençam Köftecisi’nin kuruluş süreci, günümüzdeki faaliyet durumu, Şençam Köftecisi’ni kuran Kuruşa ailesinin Kosova’dan göç süreci ve Türkiye’ye adaptasyon süreci, Şençam Köftecisi’nin Atatürk Orman Çiftliği’ne katkıları, Atatürk Orman Çiftliği’nin geçmişten günümüze durumu ve oradaki yemek kültürü anlatılmaktadır. Çalışmanın odak noktası Kuruşa Ailesi’nin Kosova’dan Türkiye’ye göç etmesiyle başlayan ve Şençam Köftecisi’nin kuruluşu ile devam eden bu süreçtir. Araştırmamızda Kosova’dan göçmüş olan Şençam Köftecisi’nin kurucularından Zahit Kuruşa ve aynı zamanda üniversite yıllarından itibaren işletmenin başında olan Hıfzı Kuruşa’nın tecrübelerinden faydalanılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this project, the establishment process of Şençam Köftecisi, which has been serving in Ankara since 1971, its current activity status, the migration process of the Kuruşa family who founded Şençam Köftecisi from Kosovo, and the adaptation process to Turkey, Şençam Köftecisi's transfer to Atatürk Orman Çiftliği. Contributions, the status of Atatürk Orman Çiftliği from past to present, and the food culture there. The focus of the study is this process, which started with the migration of the Kuruşa Family from Kosovo to Turkey and continued with the establishment of Şençam Köftecisi. In our research, the experiences of Zahit Kuruşa, one of the founders of Şençam Köftecisi, who immigrated from Kosovo, and Hıfzı Kuruşa, who has been the head of the business since his university years, were used.en_US
