dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu araştırma Milli Mücadelede kadının yeri ve önemini konu almaktadır. Konuya daha iyi hâkim olabilmek adına Milli Mücadelede kadının yeri ve önemi incelendi. Sözlü kaynak için Milli Mücadele yıllarında büyük değişimlere öncülük eden kadın otobiyografilerinin yazarı ve Çete Ayşe’nin akrabası olan İlknur Bektaş ile görüşme sağlandı. Kurtuluş savaşı sırasında öncülük eden isimler araĢtırmaya dâhil edildi. Bu isimlerin başında gelen Çete Ayşe mercek altına alınarak dönem şartlarında; elde ettiği başarıları, üstlendiği roller ve karşılaştığı zorluklar objektif bir şekilde değerlendirildi. Milli mücadele döneminde kadınların yaptıkları faaliyetler sonucu elde ettikleri başarıların ülkeye etkileri araştırmaya yansıtıldı. Kadınların yaptıkları hareketlerin ne gibi sonuçlar meydana getirdiği tespit edilerek çalışmaya eklendi.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis research focuses on the place and importance of women in the War of Independence. The place and importance of women in the war has examined in order to have a better understanding about the topic. A interview was held with İlknur Bektaş, the author of women’s autographies who cause great changes and relative of Çete Ayşe. Pioneer names during the War of Independence included in the research. Çete Ayşe, who is one of these names, taken under the spotlight under the terms of the period; her achievements, roles and difficulties she faced were objectively evaluated. The effects of the achievements which achieved by women during the national struggle and its effects on country were reflected in research. The outcomes of what women did were determined and added to the research.en_US
