dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBu makalede Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nde yaşamış Türkiye’nin kayda değer sanatçılarından Kayıhan Keskinok’un doğumundan ölümüne hem ailevi hem akademik hayatı, içinde bulunduğu dönemdeki sanat anlayışı, eserleri, sergileri, vakfı ve yetiştirdiği sanatçılara katkıları anlatılmıştır. Bilgi toplama ve metinin yazılma sürecinde, sanatçının hayatının önemli noktaları ile alakalı kaynaklar incelenmiştir.
dc.description.abstractIn this article, we focused on Kayıhan Keskinok who is one of the most valuable artists of Republican Era of Turkey who had left a significant mark on the Turkish history. We analysed his life from birth to death in detail, academic life, the perception of art in that century, art works, exhibitions, private foundation and his guidance to students by researching both the primary and the secondary sources.
