Devlete adanmış bir hayat: Burhan Cahit Bayar

Türkiye, 1970-1980’li yıllarda ülke yönetiminin sürekli el değiştirdiği ve özellikle üniversite ortamlarında siyasal şiddetin baş gösterdiği bir ülke konumundaydı. “Sağ” ve “sol” gruplarının eylemleri ve bunlara uygulanan karşı şiddet ülkede büyük bir çatışmaya neden olmuştur. 1980 darbesinden sonra da ekonomisini toparlamaya çalışan Türkiye’de Burhan Cahit Bayar 1963 yılından 1999 yılına kadar devlet kurumuna hizmet etmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye siyasetinin karışıklığı içinde kaymakamlık, vali vekilliği, valilik, büyükelçilik ve içişleri bakanlığı yapan Burhan Cahit Bayar’ ın gençlik yılları ve aile yaşamı, eşi ve çocuklarıyla olan ilişkisinin yanı sıra devlet kurumundaki görevleri ve dönemin siyasi sorunları karşısında yaşadığı zorluklar anlatılmıştır

Turkey, through the years 1970 and '80s, was in a state in which the governance frequently changed, and political violence was prevalent, especially in the universities. The actions regarding the defenders of the left and right regimes and the counterattacks imposed against them brought about a massive conflict throughout the country. After the 1980 strike, in a Turkey that was trying to get its economic matters together, Burhan Cahit Bayar served in multiple positions in the government, starting from 1963 to 1999. In this study, in the political mess that surrounded Turkey at that time, Burhan Cahit Bayar, who worked as district governor, lieutenant governor, governor, ambassador, and minister of internal affairs, was researched and carefully explained as well as his youth, family life, his relationship with his wife and children, the position he held regarding the government, and finally, the difficulties he faced in that time's politically obscure Turkey.
