I. Millî Mimarlık Akımı, Tayyare Apartmanları ve restorasyon süreci

I. Millî Mimarlık Akımı, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun son dönemlerinden başlayarak Cumhuriyet'in ilk yıllarına kadar Türk toplumu ve aydınlarını etkilemiş ve Türk mimarisinde önemli izler bırakmıştır. Bu akımın önde gelen mimarlarından Mimar Kemaleddin Bey, diğer yapıtlarında olduğu gibi, özellikle Fatih semtinde inşa ettiği Tayyare Apartmanları yapıtı ile bu dönemin mimari anlayışını başarıyla yansıtmıştır. Tayyare Apartmanları, 1918 yılında Fatih'te meydana gelen büyük yangın sonrası evsiz kalan yangınzedelere konut sağlamak amacıyla inşa edilmiş olup zamanla şehrin sosyal ve kültürel yapısında önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Bu çalışmada, I. Millî Mimarlık Akımı ve Mimar Kemaleddin Bey'in hayatı detaylıca ele alınarak, Tayyare Apartmanlarının inşa süreçleri, kullanım değişiklikleri ve mimari özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, apartmanların restorasyon süreçleri ve günümüzdeki durumu da değerlendirilmiştir.

The First National Architectural Movement, which started during the final periods of the Ottoman Empire and continued into the early years of the Republic, has influenced Turkish society and intellectuals and left significant marks on Turkish architecture. Architect Kemaleddin, one of the leading architects of this movement, successfully reflected the architectural understanding of this period, especially with the Tayyare Apartments he built in the Fatih district, just as he did in his other works. Built to provide housing for those who lost their homes in the great fire of 1918 in Fatih, the Tayyare Apartments have gained an important place in the social and cultural structure of the city over time. This study thoroughly examines the First National Architecture Movement and the life of Architect Kemaleddin, focusing on the construction processes, usage changes, and architectural features of Tayyare Apartments. Additionally, the restoration processes and current status of the apartments are examined.
