Kuruluşundan bugüne: Bilkent CTIS

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Bilkent Üniversitesi’nin Bilgisayar Teknolojisi ve Bilişim Sistemleri bölümü kuruluşundan itibaren günümüze kadar incelenmiştir. Öğretim üyeleri, ders programı ve bölümün genel işleyişi hakkında çalışılmıştır. Kuruluşundan önce Bilkent Üniversitesi’ne katılan ve hem yüksekokulun hem de bölümün kurulmasında katkı sağlayan Dekan Kamer Rodoplu ile, şu anki bölüm başkanı Erkan Uçar ile ve bölüm başkan yardımcısı Serpil Tın ile röportajlar yapılmıştır. Röportajlar ve yararlanılan diğer kaynaklardan edinilen bilgiler kullanılarak bölümün tarihi incelenip, yorumlanarak aktarılmıştır. In this study Bilkent University’s Computer Technology and Information Systems Department has been studied since the establishment. The lecturers, the curriculum and the general dynamics of the department were studied. Prior to its establishment Dean Kamer Rodoplu participated in Bilkent University and contributed to the establishment both college and the department. In addition to the Kamer Rodoplu interviews were made with current head of department Erkan Uçar and the deputy chairman Serpil Tın. The history of the department was examined and interpreted by using the information obtained from interviews and other sources.
